How concerned were you about character when selecting a mate? Does love conquer all?

Children learn what they live......

Spoiled child/brat: a rotten child who is likely to grow up to be a menace.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Spoiled+Brat
LifeLessonsForAll.com: A wise woman once pointed out that similar to the support provided to young trees in Maryland (two stakes in ground with strings holding the tree), children need support from both parents. Teach and support children so they grow straight and not crooked.
What if your story (words) is right and the other person's story is also right, but the stories seem to contradict each other. Who is right? Maybe both - they are different perspectives.

What if Person A sees a car accident from one angle and Person B sees the same accident from the opposite angle. Their versions may be different but both correct.
Seems to say the same thing as Proverbs 10:9 in the Holy Bible....

"With integrity you have nothing to fear, since you have nothing to hide. With integrity you will do the right thing, so you will have no guily. With fear and guilt removed you are free to be and do your best."
- Zig Ziglar

Song lesson: From 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking' by Blake Shelton

My oh my, you're so good looking
But who are you when I'm not looking?
Do you break thing when you get mad?
Eat a box of chocolates 'cause you're feeling bad.

Is your reputation outside your control? Do you control your reputation by telling others who you are by the choices you make? Do people say whatever they want?

"Your reputation is in the hands of others. That's what reputation is. You can't control that. The only thing you can control is your character."

Remember this childhood poem / nursery rhyme?

There was a crooked man,
And he went a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence
Upon a crooked stile:
He bought a crooked cat,
That caught a crooked mouse
And they all lived together
In a little crooked house.

Song lesson: From 'Complicated' by Avril Lavigne

I like you the way you are
When we're driving in your car,
And you're talking to me one on one.
But you become somebody else 'round everyone else,
You're watching your back like you can't relax,
You're trying to be cool,
You look like a fool to me.
Tell me...Why did you have to go and make things so complicated?
I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else,
Gets me frustrated.

Shady character - an untrustworthy, suspicious person.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits."
- Jesus (Bible, Matthew 7:15)
Song lesson: From 'Who The Cap Fit' by Bob Marley

Man to man is so unjust,
Ya don't know who to trust.
Your worst enemy could be your best friend,
And your best friend your worse enemy.
Some will eat and drink with you,
Then behind them su-su 'pon you.
Only your friend know your secrets,
So only he could reveal it.
...
Some will hate you, pretend they love you now,
Then behind they try to eliminate you.
But who Jah bless, no one curse;
Thank God, we're past the worse.
Hypocrites and parasites
Will come up and take a bite.
And if your night should turn to day,
A lot of people would run away.
And who the stock fit let them wear it!
