From the song 'Price Tag' by Jessie J:

Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night,
When the sale comes first
And the truth comes second
Just stop for a minute and smile,
Why is everybody so serious,
Acting so damn mysterious,
Got shades on your eyes
And your heels so high that you can't even have a good time.
...
It's not about the money money money,
We don't need your money money money,
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag.
Ain't about the uh cha-ching cha-ching,
Ain't about the yeah b-bling b-bling,
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag.

Some people do whatever it takes to make money, including being mean and dishonest.
But maybe that is not a good strategy. Kindness is worth a great deal of money.

and the world will be a better place
for you and me,
you just wait and see.

It may seem that there are not a lot of good Samaritans in the world, but I can say from experience that there are people out there who care about others and lend a helping hand to those in need.
Thanks to people in Georgia who helped me when I needed assistance years ago!

The Parable of the Good Samaritan....
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+10%3A25-37

"Human kindness is becoming a rare commodity. One has to look far and wide to find kindness within a person, simply for the sake of it, with no expectation of anything in return.....
For those who still have this trait within them, guard it well and use it often. It is a trait worth treasuring. It is a trait which puts one in the same league as angels.
...
To be kind means to give to those who are in need without pausing to ask 'what do I get back in return?' It means to help someone simply because they need help which we are able to provide."
- George Sand

"It has always seemed strange to me... the things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty, understanding and feeling, are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism and self-interest, are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second."
- John Steinbeck
