Do not fall by the wayside

'Learn as much as possible' and 'listen to constructive criticism to improve' are just some of the advice we receive and strategies we use to do better and live a good life. Take it all in and find what works for you. Take steps to make sure you do not fall by the wayside.....

From 'Circle of Life':

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the Sun
There's more to be seen than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done

Some say eat or be eaten
Some say live and let live
But all are agreed as they join the stampede
You should never take more than you give

In the circle of life
It's the wheel of fortune
It's the leap of faith
It's the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of life

Some of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scars
....

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Would you continue to work with a partner that caused problems in your life and stole from you?

Forgetting about the past does not mean forgetting the lessons from the past. The lesson may be to not do business with someone again.

"...[I]t is important to differentiate between forgiveness and trusting someone again.... So you may be willing to forgive a business that messed up a deal but nevertheless decide not to work with that business again. Or forgive an abusive partner, but never be in a relationship with that person again. Or even forgive those who committed a crime against you, but still believe they should be punished."

Learning from the past requires figuring out the lessons from mistakes, failures, and even the positive experiences. Have you figured out the lessons from your past?

"[I]n SEAL training there is a bell....All you have to do to quit—is ring the bell.
Ring the bell and you no longer have to wake up at 5 o’clock. Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the freezing cold swims.
Ring the bell and you no longer have to do the runs, the obstacle course, the PT—and you no longer have to endure the hardships of training. Just ring the bell.
If you want to change the world don’t ever, ever ring the bell."

Admitting his mistakes:

#LessonOfTheDay
No one likes to admit his/her mistakes or concede that he/she was wrong. But in order to learn from a mistake or failure, you must see or admit that there was a problem and corrective action is needed. When this occurs, the person could start again but more intelligently (taking into account the lessons from the previous errors).
